Surprise Catch While Bass Fishing in a Florida Canal!!!

Thanks to some crazy rush hour traffic, my Waze app took me through a random neighborhood to get back to my parents house. I saw a nice little park with a canal behind it and decided to pull over to let the kids play and toss a line. One cast with a finesse spinnerbait revealed an aquarium of species in the narrow Florida canal. Bass, bluegill, oscars, peacock bass, snakeheads & more were all at my feet and a few were willing to eat!!! Florida canal fishing is a blast, and you never know what you’re going to catch! The surprise catch of peacock bass and mayan chichlid definitely made it worth the stop!!!

Thanks for watching!!!

  8. Those probably aren’t snakehead there probably bowfin I used to catch them in Florida all the time I killed a bunch thinking they were snakehead

  9. What life is all about. Kids belong in the outdoors seeing what the world has to offer. When I was young we could fish just about anywhere we wanted and today it's just not the same. Hold kids accountable for the area they want to fish and you will see much better results than just saying no you can't fish.
